Welcome! I’m Danyell and I would love to be a part of your journey back to the whole woman that you are.

I am a cat mom of two fluff muffins: Penelope + Hazel, avid shopper, long term BOTM member, and enjoy self care activities of reading, walking, and pineapple cider.

I earned my bachelor's degree at Northwest Missouri State University in Psychology and Masters of Counseling Psychology at Avila University. My clinical experiences include: individual therapy, couples therapy, in primarily outpatient treatment and private practice settings. I am Gottman Level II Trained, Perinatal Mental Health Trained, and EMDR Trained.

My journey to specializing in women’s health derives from my clinical experiences working and connecting with women struggling to find identity and a sense of belonging. Our society has set specific expectations of what a successful women is and what they believe determines her worth. As a woman, I too have experienced my fair share of challenges navigating and stumbling into my own unique path. I believe a women’s journey to success should be their own based on their individual set of values, beliefs and goals. My goal is to empower women with where they are while working towards their best self.

My approach to therapy is individualized, utilizing a variety of evidence-based modalities. These include: acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focused strategies, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and client centered techniques. I approach therapy using empathy, compassion, and support to create a safe space to explore self acceptance, challenge societal norms, understand and heal from past trauma, connect with partners, create boundaries, guide through the stress of motherhood and reach personal goals.

As your therapist I hope to give you the tools and support to connect with whole women you are.
